No jacket. 381 pp. A classic collection of stories, featuring 'The Heart of Darkness,' 'Youth: A Narrative,' and 'The End of the Tether.' Conrad stated that this edition was 'printed from unrevised proofs, and is probably much nearer the Maga text than the first English edition.' (Ahearn: Joseph Conrad Author Price Guide). Overall, very good condition. Black pen mark to upper spine. Light general fading and rubbing to the cloth, most noticeable at the corners and head and tail of the spine. Prior own signature on title page. Interior clean and solid with a few pages bearing dog-ear creases.
