Author Tom Robbins' third book and perhaps his best; a novel of Gonzoid romance between an all-too pampered princess and the anarchic "woodpecker" of the title. Interestingly, fifteen years after publication, his book earned author Tom Robbins a visit from the FBI when they were trying to identify the identity of the Unabomber! A terrific copy.
