I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!

$200

First Edition, First Printing. New York (1978). Just about fine in publisher's original pictorial paper-covered boards with illustrated endpapers. No dust jacket, as issued. Profusely illustrated throughout by Seuss. Internally fine. Slight bump on top cover edge, else fine. A lovely copy of this collector's item. Rare first printing with full number line, no letter line, and "B-64" present on spine tail.

The book is dedicated to Seuss's ophthalmologist, David Worthen (the "Eye Guy"). Dr. Seuss wrote the book after his vision began to fade and he began to wear glasses. (Younger & Hirsch, 39). Octavo.
