MacDonald went with Younghusband to Lhasa and then served for long years as British Trade Agent in Gyantse and Yatung. After his retirement he established the Himalayan Hotel in Kalimpong, on the border to Tibet. Illustrated with a few reproductions of black-and-white photographs, diagrams . and folding map. Nice, very good in original yellow-orange cloth; ex-lib with usual library markings, including paper tab to foot of spine.
