Lee's re-imagining of Middle Earth and its denizens formed the basis for the stunning set designs and characters of the award-winning LOTR and Hobbit films by Peter Jackson. Each volume is illustrated throughout with numerous full-page color and in-text black and white illustrations. Wonderfully and lavishly illustrated in color with Lee's artwork that formed the basis for the award-winning films. Internal content is fine; bright and unmarred. In the original pictorial slipcase that is just about fine with only the slightest wear to the top spine. Quartos. 8 x 11 inches. 1170 pages.
