First Edition, Early State. Near fine in a very good dustjacket. Pictorial cover has slight wear to corners, spine caps, and edges, but otherwise just about fine internally; clean, bright. Dustjacket very good, with some creases and closed tears along the edges, and a small chip at the head of the spine. List of 10 Dr. Seuss titles on back cover chronologically listed from 'And to Think I Saw it on Mulberry Street' (first published 1937) to "Horton Hears a Who!" (first published in 1954), indicating this is a very early printing published prior to his next title ("If I Ran the Circus") which came out in 1956. 11.1 X 7.9 X 0.5 inches; 64 pp. Overall, a very good copy of this controversial Dr. Seuss title that was recently announced would no longer be published by his estate.
