First Edition; First Printing. Special Limited Edition of the President Carter's memoir. Signed by Carter with his full signature 'Jimmy Carter' on the limitation page. Fine in navy blue cloth, and a near fine matching slipcase, slightly scuffed. The problems that Jimmy Carter faced in the White House were tremendous. This book gives a very thorough and honest review of the major challenges confronting President Carter in the late 1970s. He brought to the Oval Office a habit he shared with two of his 20th century predecessors, Nixon and Truman - that of writing daily entries in a diary. This he maintained, thankfully, throughout his presidency. It is from these entries that his memoirs are constructed.
